Twenty-eight percent of respondents to the Global Perspectives: ACC
In-house Trend Report in the Asia Pacific region stated that they have
experienced a merger/acquisition in the past year. Additionally, 31
percent reported that they have entered a new market as a result of
an M&A action.

Asia Pacific respondents to the Global Perspectives: ACC In-house
Trends Report noted that their legal department’s biggest challenge
to entering new markets are due diligence requirements ( 54 percent),
other ( 18 percent), regulatory issues ( 11 percent), and anticorruption
laws ( 11 percent).
